KisMac is a software program made for sniffing or stumbling out networks for Mac OS X. These devices can be used to test the security of your own home/business network.
KisMac and several other programs like it can be used to hack into wireless networking devices. Most wireless routers now days have an option for security most likely in the form of a WEP key. WEP keys aren’t always 100% secure but they can help from stopping unwanted people or devices on your bandwidth/network.
It has been said in the news that the development of KisMac recently was put to an end with new German Laws being placed, that would make the research and development of these tools illegal and harder to work on.
