Robert Willie Pickton Guilty

Robert Willie Pickton guilty on six charges of second degree murder. Robert Willie Pickton originally faced charges of first degree murder but the juror did not convict him of that. This is the first trial to complete, he has been accused of killing a total of 26 women.

Pickton is a 58 year old pig farmer, that brought women back to his home outside of Vancouver, British Columbia, to kill them and then dispose of the bodies. In 2002 Pickton confessed to killing 49 women. The jury went into deliberation on November 30, 2007.

The victim’s families were relieved when Pickton was convicted of second degree murder. He may face a life sentence still but could possibly receive parole after 10 years. For more breaking news on the Pickton sentencing we’ll keep you updated.
