HIB vaccine recall due to contamination. The vaccine was administered to children is now being recalled. The company that distributed the vaccine is Merck.

Around one million of the vaccinations were recalled because there may have been bacteria that contaminated the dosage when being produced. The HIB vaccine is made to protect children from pneumonia and other infections.

The children that received HIB should not be in any serious danger but they could get an infection were the injection was given. Also those that were injected will not need to receive another HIB shot. For more updates on this story check back later.
