What is DXM Drug? DXM stands for dextromethorphan which is included in majority of cough medicines. Generally this is not harmful to people who buy over the counter medicines.
DXM has been found to be abused by people. When abusing this drug it can cause hallucinations. The side effects of overdosing on dextromethorphan can cause vomitting, muscle spasms, and in some cases, death. There is a new report that states a little more than 3 million Americans have used DXM to get high.
Most of the abuse of DXM is in younger adults and adolescents. Hopefully these reports will bring more awareness to the dangers of using too much of this drug. Stay tuned for breaking news on medicines.
