Dieter Uchtdorf new 2nd counselor for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. After the recent passing of President of the Church Gordon B. Hinckley, Uchtdorf was announced as the new counselor.

Dieter Uchtdorf is the newest addition to the First Presidency which consists of three members. The new president will be Thomas S. Monson. Gordon B. Hinckley passed away and his funeral service was held this past Saturday in memory of him. Currently Henry B. Eyring is the 1st counselor.

Dieter F. Uchtdorf was formerly a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy and later the Presidency of the Seventy. Stay tuned for more breaking news stories.
