What does Eponychium mean? It is also known as the cuticle. The cuticle is the part of the finger that is the thick layer of skin surrounding the toe or fingernaisl.
Eponychium is there to help protect against damage or bacteria to the area of the nail. Many people have not heard the word Eponychium and we are mostly used to the familiar turn cuticle.
