NIU Shooter’s Ex-girlfriend Jessica Baty

NIU Shooter’s ex-girlfriend, Jessica Baty, said in an interview Sunday that she saw no signs of danger from Steven Kazmierczak. Jessica Baty dated Kazmierczak off and on for a couple years.

Jessica Baty did not notice any signs of troublesome behavior from her former boyfriend. This last Thursday Kazmierczak went into a lecture hall on the NIU campus and opened fire before turning the gun on himself. Six people, including Kazmierczak, were dead after the shooting.

Jessica Baty had the interview on CNN. Baty did receive a package on or the day after the shooting. Inside was a goodbye note, a cell phone, and two textbooks. We’ll provide more details as they become available on this case.
