Meteor in Portland Oregon

Many saw the meteor in Portland Oregon yesterday morning. There was also many that reported seeing it in all of the Northwest USA including Washington and Idaho. The Meteorite was falling around 5:30 am and exploded.

The Meteor in the Northwest region lit up the sky with a bright light. Many in the Portland, Oregon area said they felt the boom when the meteor exploded. Some were even woke up by the noise and the brightness in the sky. There were no reports of seeing any pieces of the Meteor hit ground. Experts said that if anything did reach the Earth’s surface it was most likely small and no larger than a marble.

It is rare to see a Meteor come so close to the Earth, many were lucky enough to see the Meteor in Portland Oregon and the surrounding areas. The last meteorite recovered in the State of Oregon was back in 1981. Check back for more breaking news and current events in the United States.
