Awful breaking news about Eve Carson UNC student killed. Carson was the student body president in what the AP reported to be a random act of violence. The cause of death was gun wounds.

Eve Carson, 22 years old, was from Athens, Georgia. Students, friends, and family are in shock at the act of violence. Today many students gathered for a moment of silence in honor of Carson.

People reported hearing shots around 5 a.m., which led authorities to Eve Carson’s body that was in a city street. At this time there have been no releases as far as suspects go. We pray for her family and friends. Check back for more updates on this story and others.
