Actor Abe Karpen leaves movie set. Karpen was playing Natalie Portman’s husband in the movie “New York I Love You”. Karpen said that Rabbis were upset about someone of his faith being in a Hollywood movie.
The new movie that stars Natalie Portman will consist of several short stories about love. Karpen said that his beliefs are more important to him than the movie. Karpen is a Hasidic, which is a form of orthodox Judaism.
Those that practice Hasidism believe in avoiding watching movies and TV. You can’t blame somebody for standing up for what they believe in. Check back we will have more updates on movies coming out soon.
