News anchor Darlene Rodriguez husband charged with rape. Sgt. David Rodriguez is charged with the sexual assault of a teen girl back in February. Darlene is standing by her husband and they are saying that the allegations are completely false.

David Rodriguez is employed by the New Rochelle police department. Darlene Rodriguez is an anchorwoman on NBC’s Today in New York City. Rodriguez has been released on a $25,000 bail. The alleged victim is reported to be 17 years old.

The New Rochelle Police Department has suspended Darlene Rodriguez’s husband as of now. We’ll keep an eye on this story and if there are any more breaking news that come out.

I think the 17 year old girl set the whole thing up, due to that fact that Sergeant David Rodriguez is married to a well known news anchor. This teenager is probably after money. Darlene is excellent on Today in New York and has a very colorful personality. For her sake, I hope all the charges against her husband will be dropped promptly. I think it is wonderful the way that Darlene believes in her husband’s innocence and is willing to stand by him in very tough times. If there were more nice, caring, and classy women like her, I would definitely be interested in getting married. I hope she will work for Today in New York until she retires.

I agree with Martin Reiss 110%! Totally true. I bet the 35 year old guy that was arrested for the domestic violence put her up to this because he found out that the officer is Darlene’s husband. They are just after the money. I feel so badly for Darlene, she is excellent!

One more comment…. I’m sorry to see that Rob Morrison has been let go or he left on his own. They were a great team… Darlene, Rob, Chris and Otis. I don’t even want to watch the news any more because of all the changes with the 5-7 a.m. news.
