Founder of Popeyes Famours Fried Chicken restaurant chain, Al Copeland death at 64 years old. Copeland was announced dead at a clinic located in Germany. It was reported that he was diagnosed with a malignant salivary gland tumor back around Thanksgiving.

Prior to getting into the chicken business Copeland ran a doughnut shop. Al Copeland opened Popeyes back in 1972 which then grew to over to be the third largest chicken chain back in 1989. Later on Copeland lost Popeyes due to bankruptcy. Al Copeland death was announced today on March 23rd.

Funeral arrangements for Al Copeland death are still pending.
