Kaitlyn Lasitter speaks on safety in amusement parks. The 14 year old lost her feet in an accident at a Six Flags Amusement park last year. She was riding the Superman Tower of Power ride when the accident happened.
Kaitlyn Lasitter speaks on safety so that the government might regulate amusement parks and the rides. Kaitlyn has said that life is difficult and that she has fear of doing everyday things like being in a car. She and her family with Massachusetts congressman Edward Markey hope to pass an Act that will help make these parks safer for people.
After the the accident doctors were able to reattach Kaitlyn’s right foot. It is reported that Six Flags denied any liability for the cable breaking and causing the accident but others say that they did not follow instructions as carefully as they should have. Hopefully the government and the amusement parks can figure something out. Kaitlyn Lasitter speaks on safety will helpfully move it in the right direction.
