McPike Mansion is located in Alton, Illinois. Many people claim to have taken photos that show figures and balls of light that are unexplained. The haunted house was built back in 1869.

Harriet Quimby was born in 1875.

She was the first woman to also fly over the English Channel. It is said that Harriet Quimby wore a purple flying suit. After only 11 months of having her flying license Harriet Quimby was killed in a flight demonstration in Massachusetts on July 1, 1912.
