The polls have shown that the approval of the Iraq War have dropped very low. It is one of the biggest topics whenever people mention current events and politics. President Bush stated that he still believes that the outcome will be good in the Middle-East.

Whatever your opinion is on the Iraq War, it is a great benefit that those of us that live in the United States can have Freedom of Speech and the right to think what we want. God Bless Our Troops and let us hope for the best.

With Obama in a tight race with Clinton for the Democratic nomination this could definitely hurt him. There has been no confirmation that Obama agrees with these remarks and I highly doubt that he does, but these types of remarks from someone that endorses you cannot always be good.

Jeremiah Wright announced retirement from his Pastor position back in February from the Trinity United Church of Christ. The church is located in Chicago and has grown into a huge church since Wright took leadership back in 1972. Check back for more updates and breaking news on the Presidential race.

Just today Spitzer gave his resignation and stepped down from his position. Ashley Alexandra Dupre, 22 years old and has been an aspiring musician. It was the New York Times who broke the news about the identity of the woman.

Eliot Spitzer announced at a press conference the breaking news and apologized for his actions. The Governor is married and has three children with his wife. It is unfortunate to see another scandal with politicians.

The Samantha Power monster comment was admitted to in a statement released today.  The Clinton campaign wanted the Obama adviser to resign and today they got there request.  This seems to be one of those things that could have gone either way.  Both campaigns have been at each others throats as of late trying to win the democratic nomination. 

The Samantha Power monster comment did not help the situation; it just created more bad blood between the two.  The race is so close that no one knows who will win the nomination at this point.  We will continue to follow this story and provide any news updates. 

House.gov/Tiahrt has information and breaking news about the Congressman and recent activities, especially the KC-X Next Generation contract. The Northrop-Gumman team was awarded the contract. They are a foreign company that many oppose the choice that our government awarded the contract to them.

The time is getting closer to the Presidential Election, candidates are looking for who they’ll ask to be VP. Today Ralph Nader named Matt Gonzalez his running mate. John McCain will be picking his soon and many Republicans believe it should be Sarah Palin of Alaska.

It is said that Sarah Palin has strong conservative values, including pro-life stance. This could help with those voters that think John McCain is too moderate. Breaking news will let you know if any of this is made official.

Both Obama and Clinton will battle it out a week prior to the Ohio Primary at tonight’s Democratic debate. Some of the subjects they have covered in the debate so far is Universal Health Care and NAFTA. The MSNBC debate takes place in Cleveland, Ohio.

The New York Times let loose the story about Vicki Iseman and John McCain. As the Presidential race gets closer to nominations there always is more controversy. There have also been battles between Clinton and Obama recently. It is said that both McCain and Iseman deny any romantic relationship.

Vicki Iseman affair rumors could possibly hurt McCain’s image but he still has a huge lead and will most likely be the Republican candidate. Stay tuned for more updates and information on politics.

It is said that the Tax Rebate Plan will provide individuals with $600. Couples should receive $1200 and additionally $300 for each child. If you have made at least $3,000 in 2007 and paid federal taxes then you are eligible for this plan. Others that made $3,000 and didn’t pay federal taxes are still going to be eligible but the amount of rebate will be less.

It is stated that the Tax Rebate Plan 2008 checks should be going out around May and most people should receive the rebates no later then July. Some are not sure if this will actually help the economy but we’ll have to wait and see when the rebates actually come out. Check back for updates and more tax information in the future.
