It was introduce back in 2007. Many think that it will compete against the NIT tournament.

The CBI (College Basketball Invitational) Tournament will include 16 teams that are not going to the NCAA tourney. The games will start on March 18th. Some of the teams that have accepted the invite to the CBI tournament are Brown, Virginia, and UTEP.

The 2008 CBI Tournament will be broadcast on the Fox Sports Net. March Madness is beginning and there will be a lot of great games in all three tournaments. Stay tuned for more breaking news on College sports.
