Karpen was playing Natalie Portman’s husband in the movie “New York I Love You”. Karpen said that Rabbis were upset about someone of his faith being in a Hollywood movie.

The new movie that stars Natalie Portman will consist of several short stories about love. Karpen said that his beliefs are more important to him than the movie. Karpen is a Hasidic, which is a form of orthodox Judaism.
